Mary Katherine Schober

Pianist

Mary Katherine Schober is a teacher, composer, and performer in the greater Houston area. She runs a private piano studio out of her Galleria location. Her students perform regularly in the community, and often earn local, regional, and state honors. Schober currently serves as President of Forum Music Teachers’ Association, a local chapter of Music Teachers’ National Association.

Schober performs frequently throughout Houston and other Texas cities. She has worked in the popular music scene with local singer-songwriter Catterina, and completed a solo classical program tour in 2024 which included Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition and her own Vignettes, Op. 2. She released her latest composition, Journeys, Op. 3, in the summer of 2025. Her music can be found on her various social media pages, as well as sheet music on this website.
